"Children do not need to learn to be better, told what to do or shown how. If they are given access to enough of the world, they will see clearly enough what things are truly important to themselves and to others, and they will make for themselves a better path into that world than anyone else could make for them." Mother/Daughter Date "Mcdonalds and Bowling"
I asked Dora what she wanted to do today and she wanted to go bowling!
First I thought I would take her out to lunch. Out of all the places to eat my little girl wanted to eat at Mcdonalds.
She proved to be a cheap date, after telling her to order what she wanted all she ordered was a dollar cheeseburger and some fries!
On to the bowling alley! We had a lot of fun bowling, we just laughed and took our sweet time. In the end she bowled a 49 and I bowled a 94.
After we finished our game we went to the Arcade and Dora played a few rounds of Dance Revolution. This was her first time playing. After two rounds she convinced me to play with her. Not my best game but quite a workout! (It takes a few minutes to get started so you may want to skip to 1:00!)
On the way home I had to go by Walmart and pick up something for dinner. We don't usually do dessert but I told her to pick out her favorite ice cream and she picked out Mint Chocolate Chip. I also found this really awesome $.25 section in the front of the store so I let her shop and she helped me pick out some all sorts of things: posters, coffee cups, fabric paints, beads, bead string, air drying clay and more!
