"Children do not need to learn to be better, told what to do or shown how. If they are given access to enough of the world, they will see clearly enough what things are truly important to themselves and to others, and they will make for themselves a better path into that world than anyone else could make for them."                                March 3rd, 2014

Today we were suppossed to go to a cake decorating class however we got a little tiny bit of snow and ice and that changed the plans.

The kids played outside in the cold.

Bubba and Bret played with their Yugioh cards, Facebooked, played Flappy Bird, and the original Mario on their Nintendo 3DS.

Dora spent the morning playing with the gel balls she had "grown" yesterday and dressing up our little dog Kitonna.

What the gel balls looked like:                                Kitonna as a bug (she was also a ballerina):

Dad and I had errands to run and Bret was the only one wanting to go. We went to the Verizon store where he became quite interested in a drone they had there that records. He also looked at different devices he could use that instead of sleeping with earbuds in, he has went through 5 pairs in the last month! We also went to Walmart, and to pay a few bills.

I got a call from Dora that she was setting up a town. Apparently, the fake money she had picked up at Goodwill yesterday inspired her to create a town to spend it in. When we got home we went to the "bank" where we were given our driver's  liscense, money, and jobs. She had set up a book store, accessories store (hats, glasses, scarves, etc.), spa, and card store. We role played for along time in her town "Funville". I got to be the book store owner and I sold books to everyone and then visited the other shops. Her brothers played along for a little while but became bored after a few minutes, Dad and I however played along for quite some time.

Afterwards, I surprised her with a rainbow loom to make bracelets on. She had been making them by hand and asked me to pick her up some more bands but we picked up the loom and bands and she spent along time making bracelets until we got a call that her cousin wanted to come and spend a few days. Dora decided that if he was wanting to stay at her house she was going to spend a few days over at his house and get some more girl time in with her other cousin.

The boys spent the night catching up, playing Playstation, and Pokemon cards.
