"Children do not need to learn to be better, told what to do or shown how. If they are given access to enough of the world, they will see clearly enough what things are truly important to themselves and to others, and they will make for themselves a better path into that world than anyone else could make for them."                              January 9th, 2014

(not many pics today but a few to come at a later time!)

Today was one of those days that despite whatever I had planned God's plans were different. A friend of mine showed up this morning after walking for about an hour from the hospital where his baby had been admitted with bronchitis. He was a little down on his luck with everything going on and needing some help. We had to do some running around to help meet his needs but in the end it was so worth it.

Having been over a decade since my children were babies I had forgotten how little they are! I savored the moment as I reached out and touched her sweet soft baby hand while she slept and her tiny little fingers curled around my finger and held on. I could almost breathe in her sweet newborn baby smell and it was the most wonderful thing. I can hardly wait to hold my precious granddaughter due May 2nd!

The boys were happy to spend most of the morning listening to music and watching the latest You Tube videos. By early afternoon we all headed down to the local library were Bubba spent the time drawing dragons and Bret indulged himself in a Manga book.

After the library we started our trip to my oldest son's house to pick up Dora. His house is about an hour a way so it gave us all plenty of time to talk and joke around. We stopped at the Dollar Tree on the way there and picked up a few things for a project I am planning on doing with Dora to recreate the Solar System.

When we arrived I was a little disappointed my grandbaby was at her other Dad's house but after visiting for awhile we all decided to all go out to dinner at Captain D's.

After a long leisurely dinner we made the long ride home and  just chilled. We all spent some time reading our various books or being on our  devices before bed.
