"Children do not need to learn to be better, told what to do or shown how. If they are given access to enough of the world, they will see clearly enough what things are truly important to themselves and to others, and they will make for themselves a better path into that world than anyone else could make for them." I don't know what is up but I have not been able to sleep through the night for days now! Last night my husband had the same problem and by 4:00 we were both up and watching "You've Got Mail". After the movie and a few hours until church started we laid back down and got up and moving around 8:30. Bubba and Bret didn't feel like going this morning so it was Dad, Dora, and I. Since we were running a little on the late side we opted for breakfast on the go by picking it up some biscuits at the convenient store on the way there, which of course thrilled Dora, because she could have one of her favorites "Convenient Store Coffee". (In reality it is a Caramel Cappacino) She absolutely loves these!

Alot of Christians are surprised by the fact I don't "Make" my boys attend church. Just because I believe in God and choose to lead a Christian lifestyle does not mean that I force this religion upon my children. While all of my children do believe in a higher power,  Bubba and Bret do not care much for church nor do they care for how early it is, and I respect their right to sleep in and worship when and how they choose. The rest of us however enjoyed a morning of worship and preching at the best church in Columbia, TN, New LIfe Community Church.

After returning home from church, I did a few chores and the kids wanted to know if I would take them to visit some friends in the "old neighborhood". Which of course I thought was a great idea since it had been awhile since they had all gotten together. They enjoyed riding scooters, and hanging outside with their friends, when it started to rain they all joked around and caught up with each other over Yoo Hoos on the covered area of the apartment building.

Here is Dora with one of the boys' best friend "Mannie" (they refused pictures today!)

And again with her bestie, Robin:

Dad and I used this time to do grocery shopping and run a few small errands. Since being home everyone has pretty much kept to themselves this lazy, rainy Sunday afternoon. I have spent a little time online and looking through the Sunday paper, Dora has watched a few Disney shows and is currently chatting online and playing "Little Big Planet 2", Bubba and Bret are currently looking through and trading Yugioh cards, after an afternoon of chatting with friends on facebook and listening to music, Dad is endulging in a very rare afternoon nap before fixing dinner for the family.
