"Children do not need to learn to be better, told what to do or shown how. If they are given access to enough of the world, they will see clearly enough what things are truly important to themselves and to others, and they will make for themselves a better path into that world than anyone else could make for them." All the kids in the house look forward to Saturdays. Most Saturdays Bubba and Bret head down to Collector's Alley (a local card store) for a long day of playing Yugioh (If you have no idea what this is you can find out HERE) with their friends and Dora and I have our weekly mother/daughter date. Dad works on Saturdays.

So as usual I was up and working online when Dora got up and indulged in a few Disney shows.  I got a message from Dad saying that he would not be getting his check early like he normally does but we would have to go to Nashville and pick up his check after his jobs were done. This put a small snag in my and Dora's plans.  Bubba and Bret got up and made sure their card decks were up to par and I had them at the store when it opened at 12. They have 3 really close friends they meet their each week and another half dozen or so they enjoy seeing as well. They do small friendly Yugioh tournaments at the store each Saturday, and then continue to hang out to talk and trade cards, and eat Hot Pockets.

After Dora and I dropped them off we went home had lunch, and then I had to figure out what to do that was as exciting as a date. I decided it would be fun to have an at home makeover/pampering date for her, I mean after all what young lady doesn't deserve to be treated like a princess! I cleaned the bathroom, lit candles, made a bubble bath, and put her ipod and speakers in the bathroom with her favorite music playing. After letting her pick out a special body wash from a pack I got at Christmas she took her bubble bath and afterwards I did her hair, make up, and nails. She was all smiles and said this was  the best date ever! (You can see more pictures of our "date" HERE).

Afterwards, she wanted to "treat" me so she made me some coffee and put on one of my favorite Disney movies "Bedtime Stories". We watched the movie and drank coffee and Dad got home around 5:30.

Dad changed clothes and we all went to check in on the boys and see if they wanted to go to Nashville with us. They wanted to hang out some more so I gave them more money for Hot Pockets and we proceeded on our way, this is normally a little over an hour drive but their was a huge wreck and pile up on the way there. We got the check, cashed at Walmart and the three of us went out to Zaxby's for dinner. Went back to the shop to pick up the boys around 9:30, where I found out Bret had won the tournament. We stopped to grab them a pizza and was home by 10.
