"Children do not need to learn to be better, told what to do or shown how. If they are given access to enough of the world, they will see clearly enough what things are truly important to themselves and to others, and they will make for themselves a better path into that world than anyone else could make for them."                          January 21st-February 1st

I am not even going to go back and try to remember everything about the last 10 days but as many of you already know we had a crazy mishap and the site was shut down for almost a week. (Guys when your wife says don't spend the money on the debit card she says this for a reason!). Then on the afternoon of January 28th I had to bring my oldest son, Bubba, into the emergency room. He ended up having pancreatitis and later having his gall bladder removed. As I write this we were just released a few hours ago. However here are just a few of the things you missed:

Dora and I am attempting to learn crochet! So far we have learned very little but now that I am home maybe we can progress.

We did several science experiments and fun projects:

We learned how a plant takes in water by watching red water travel up the veins of a celery stalk and talked about how this is much like the blood running through the veins in our body.

Dora learned how to blow up a balloon without air using vinegar and baking soda to make carbon dioxide.

Dad showed us how to make Balloon Racers by putting a straw on a line of string and tying it to a doorknob or object on both ends. You then take a blowed up balloon (not tied) and tape it onto the straw, release, and watch your balloon racer race across the room!

To be continued..........................HERE!
