"Children do not need to learn to be better, told what to do or shown how. If they are given access to enough of the world, they will see clearly enough what things are truly important to themselves and to others, and they will make for themselves a better path into that world than anyone else could make for them." Homeschool Link-Up

Good morning homeschoolers, educators, teachers, friends, family and whomever I've missed.

Welcome to the 8th homeschool link up hosted by Me and The Squishable Baby.

(Written by Lisa @ The Squishable Baby!)

I cannot tell you how happy I am to post this link up. I have become quiet accustomed to getting inspiration from all of you - and after my "brain-fart" week last week - I was very committed to getting this posted each and every week.

I look forward to reading each and every post this week.

One advantage to me to keeping this link-up smaller, is that it's easier to read and comment on all of your posts. However, I want to make sure that you also get something out of it. So, in an attempt to grow this link up - if anyone is interested in hosting the #homeschoollinkup for a week, email me (Lisa) at lisa {at} squishablebaby {dot} com.

The purpose of this link up is to provide fellow homeschoolers, eduction buffs, want to be homeschoolers, parents who want to supplement, or whomever - with a variety of fantastic educational resources. Feel free to link up to 3 education posts. We would love to hear about educational projects, crafts, schedules, curriculum, alternative learning ideas - whatever you like that has to do with the education of our children. Feel free to be creative!

This link-up is broad for education. If you have an education related giveaway or education related deals and freebies, please link them up.

Here are a few guidelines...

  • Link up any education related post or resources or homeschool project or post - old or new. We will pin our favorites to our homeschool Pinterest board.
  • Let your imagination soar. If you are not a homeschooler and have a craft or project that you might think homeschoolers would benefit from - link up.
  • If you link-up an old "deals" please make sure they are still valid at the time of linking.
  • When linking up, please tweet about the link-up to help us grow.
  • When you tweet, please use #homeschoollinkup
  • Grab a button and place it in your sidebar and help us grow!
  • Enjoy the posts of your fellow homeschoolers and education experts!

This weeks feature is Connected Homeschooling

Written by Devin Dabney, he has great podcasts to motivate the homeschooling family. I have really got a lot out of listening to the podcasts each and every week.

This week, I have a Splash Math Giveaway. Kids in Grades k-5 will enjoy Splash Math. It helps to reinforce math skills and gain confidence. We use it to practice what we've learned. Splash Math applies the same concepts differently - so it's a new way of looking at the same thing. For us, it reinforces what we learned. You can enter below to win a 1 year subscription valued at $79.
