"Children do not need to learn to be better, told what to do or shown how. If they are given access to enough of the world, they will see clearly enough what things are truly important to themselves and to others, and they will make for themselves a better path into that world than anyone else could make for them."      Chocolatey Chocolate Chip Cookies

All-Time Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

What is the best way to have a little fun in the kitchen? Leave out a bag of chocolate chips! As soon as the kids saw these they were all yelling to make chocolate chip cookies! Lots of measuring, converting fractions, and plain old messy fun! This is by far the best chocolate chip cookie recipe ever!

Chocolatey Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients 3/4 Cup Butter, softened

3/4 Cup Sugar 3/4 Cup Dark Brown Sugar (firmly packed)

2 Large Eggs

1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract

2 1/2 Cup Flour

1 tsp Baking Soda

3/4 tsp. Salt

1 1/2 pkg. of Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips (12 oz.) (Could easily be reduced to one package but we love them extra chocolatey!)

 Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

Beat butter and sugar with mixer on medium until creamy, Add eggs and vanilla, continue to mix until blended well.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl, gradually add to butter mixture, beating until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop by Tablespoonfuls onto parchment paper lined baking sheet. (also makes a great Cookie Cake!)

Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-14 minutes, place on wire rack and allow to cool, about 15 minutes

Watch them disappear like magic!
