"Children do not need to learn to be better, told what to do or shown how. If they are given access to enough of the world, they will see clearly enough what things are truly important to themselves and to others, and they will make for themselves a better path into that world than anyone else could make for them." Today Dora was still at her cousin's house visiting. Bubba and Bret seemed really wore out from the last few days and slept in til about 12:30.

They got up, ate, showered and went with Dad to do a small electrical job for our church. They were gone for several hours and I got some much needed time alone after having 6 kids for several days! When they got home I found out Bret had helped Dad locate and pull wires among other things and learned a good bit of electrical while Bubba carried a ladder and spent several hours playing Wii Sports.

When they got home we headed over to the cousins' to pick up Dora. We visited for awhile and the kids goofed off and rode bikes together until we had to head back home for dinner. Lucky me, Dad has a few extra days off this week and he cooked for the second day in the row! While Dad was preparing dinner Bubba and Bret took a walk to the library and returned a dvd for me.

As I write this we are planning on watching a family movie together tonight after Bubba and Dora get through with their "cake" decorating. My oven went out about 2 weeks ago and we have yet to get it fixed so Bubba made some cake with the waffle iron and Dora is in there as I type this teaching him how to use the different decorating tips she has and what each one is called. One cake decorating class and she has become an excellent decorator! Bret, he is lounging around checking Instagram on his Ipod.
