"Children do not need to learn to be better, told what to do or shown how. If they are given access to enough of the world, they will see clearly enough what things are truly important to themselves and to others, and they will make for themselves a better path into that world than anyone else could make for them." This morning when we woke up Dad made everyone waffles and we did something we hadn't done all year long, we attended church service. Lots of times the boys decide not to go but this morning they surprised me and went as well. Afterwards, I dropped Bubba and Bret off at the local card store to hang out with some of their friends. At the card store they basically just hang out, play Yugioh, trade cards, eat too many Hot Pockets, and this particular day also played "Smash Brothers" on the Wii.

When Dora got home Dad asked her if she would like to help him on a "project". The project ended up being making a movie screen and setting up the tent and seats outside for an Outdoor Movie Night! After helping set up for awhile she left and played at her friends house for about two hours. Then we picked her up and headed to the Dollar Tree to pick up some hotdogs for roasting over the fire and some theater boxes of candy! We went and picked the boys up and talked with their friends at the shop for awhile. On the way home Dora thought it would be fun to invite her 3 cousins to partake in the nights events and spend the night. SO, the more the merrier! We roasted hot dogs over the fire, then marshmallows, and the kids basically ran wild in and out of the tent, while I popped bowl after bowl after bowl of popcorn! Then we devied up candy and waited on it to get dark enough for us to watch "Frozen". Bubba sat beside me on my porch swing and showed me all of his games on his Nintendo 3DS and we played Mario for awhile while he chit chatted about differences in Pokemon games. During the movie, Dora and two of her cousins decided they were bored and just played in the tent together. Around 11 I headed in after being told I might not want to sleep out there because they were not going to bed until 5, yep this girl is too old for that! They came in and got blankets, pillows and board games and headed out for a few hours. Gradually they all came back in with the last few finally going to bed around 5:30 this morning!

Here are a few pics from the night:

 Snacks!

Screen ended up not being big enough so we had to add a white sheet to it.    Dora can't wait for dark!
